So today I returned from a relaxing week away in Cape Verde where I went to help a friend celebrate her 50th birthday. Seven "middle aged" (how I hate that description) women ,with the birthday girl in common, let loose on a desert island (well it is an island and there is a desert on it) with an all inclusive package deal and a selfie stick. Free from all responsibilities for a week. Bliss!
Whilst imbibing our own body weight in prosseco at sundown each evening and chatting as only girls can, our birthday girl let on that she had been set a challenge to complete 50 new things in the year after her 50th birthday. What a great idea, we all thought and for those of us that are approaching that dreaded number all too quickly, we agreed to do something similar.
I have decided to make my 50 a mixture of things I've always wanted to do, treats and life improvements so here goes......
